In this privacy policy we describe what data is collected and how it is handled in regards to Bimba website (https://bimba.app) and related services. By visiting the site, or using any Bimba services, you agree that your personal information will be handled as described in this policy.

What data is collected

Every time you make a request to the site or to any related service, your device sends your IP address, user agent string, and—in case of requests to API for nearby stops—GPS coordinates of your current location.

If you agree to send a report in case of a crash, such a report includes device model, Android version, app version, and a part of logs (including stack trace).

How your data is handled

In the case of Bimba website, the data is handled by Codeberg as the website is hosted on Codeberg pages. Their privacy policy describes how they handle the data.

In the case of Bimba application, your data is handled by Transitous if you enable it in settings, use route planning, or online geocoding.

In the case of other Bimba services, we use a trusted third-party reverse proxy, which passes encrypted traffic and doesn't see any content of requests. Due to this fact, Bimba doesn't see your IP address and the proxy sees only your IP address. IP address is used only to return responses.

Crash reports are processed solely for the purpose of fixing bugs and are deleted when no longer needed.

Server logs are deleted after at most 7 days and your data is not stored further.

How your data is shared

We may share your data with service providers, if and only if necessary to perform basic functions of Bimba services. Currently, this only includes the reverse proxy, which only sees your IP address.

We may share your data to comply with the law or other legal processes.
